Time spent with God, is time well spent.

Let’s be real, we all have a time where God puts a huge sticker over our Bible that says “open me”. Separating time for God everyday can be hard, life gets busy. We sometimes seem to forget where we are supposed to prioritize God. We know he should come first, yet we don’t put Him first. It can be hard to find a time to separate for God, but that’s when we need to prioritize it. That’s when it NEEDS to come first, it’s a necessity. It’s not simply “if we have time for it”  it’s  “I’ll make the time for it”. It’s a necessity, but don’t let it come to the point where we just do it to check it off the list, no learn + grow from it.

“One of the best gifts we can give ourselves is time alone with God”

I made it a goal in the beginning of the year to read from Genesis to Revelations by the end of the year and I’ll be honest, it’s hard. Especially through some of the books like Leviticus or Numbers, but it’s honestly so worth it. I’ve learned some pretty amazing stuff through those books. I’ve learned to just be still and listen to God. I’ve learned that God always provides. I’ve learned that sometimes all you need to have is a little bit of faith. I’ve learned that there’s no problem to big for God.

Those who leave everything in God’s hands will eventually see everything in God’s hands.

On the days were my flesh is holding me back and I don’t feel like opening His Word, I say a little prayer of strength and faithfulness. On the days I don’t want to read, those are the days that turn out I needed to the most. Not once have I ever regretted opening, reading, learning, and seeking more deeply into Gods Word. It’s never a “waste of time”. It’s time spent wisely and feeding your soul is always SO WORTH IT. We should come to a point where we can’t go a day without opening God’s Word. We should come to a point where it’s a refreshing cup of ice coffee on a 95° day. We should come to a point where we WANT to grow + learn more about God.

Challenge – Open Gods Word not just today, but every. single. day. Make time for God. It can be a challenge, but I’m in it with you friends! ☺

 blessings + love,
                               Moriah
