5 verses to comfort a heavy heart.

July 16, 2017

Pain, suffering, fear, heartache, doubt, and grief are all a part of life. These are the things that stretch and mold us. These are the things that God uses to build our faith, but sometimes it’s hard to get through them. It’s hard to climb the mountain set before us with faith. It’s hard to understand that there really is a reason behind it all, but thankfully we have God and His word to help us when these thing’s start to overwhelm us and seem to take over our lives. I’m sharing just a few Bible verses today that have given me comfort, peace, and courage through some of the bigger, harder, and steeper mountains that were set before me to climb. I pray and hope that they can give you the same comfort, peace, and courage that they gave me.

  • Joshua 1:9

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest.

  • John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be dismayed.

  • Psalm 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

  • Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

  •  Psalm 31:24

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

I don’t know what mountain your facing or even if you are facing one, but I hope these verses can bring comfort to anyone that has a heavy burdened heart right now. I don’t know a lot, but I know that it is extremely important to cling and hold tight to God and His word when there’s a steep mountain ahead of you to climb. Hold on tight to your faith, because after all its the most essential thing to help you climb that mountain. Climb with faith, my friend.

Blessings, Moriah
