Journal Prompt Challenges

Hi, friends!

I started doing journal prompt challenges last year around this time and thought it’d be fun to start it back up again.

Seeking to have a spirit of gratitude through every circumstance + situation has a been a major theme in my life throughout this year.

It’s something we must continually be reminded of- to praise Him in the high and low, mountains and valleys, trials and triumphs.

I created this challenge so that we can spend time reflecting + pondering on the word gratitude itself and what it means to each of us.

I pray this challenge will encourage you to be more intentional about giving thanks + having a heart of gratitude.

Here’s to cultivating a spirit of thanksgiving today and for the days to come.

Psalms 69:30

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.

Love and blessings,

M. grace

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by to see what this months journal challenge is, I hope it’ll help and encourage you!

I know I say this every time, but I’m always so excited to share the prompts with y’all.

This months theme is:

Live the Moment.

Living out every precious moment He so graciously gives us is something that’s been on my heart.

It’s easy to worry about the future, have regrets about the past, or simply be distracted from the present while actually living it.

Lately, I’ve been cutting back on social media, because for me that’s a struggle.

I don’t want to be staring at a screen while life is flying by me.

I don’t know what your struggle is, maybe it’s allowing yourself to miss the now by worrying about the future. I don’t know, but I want to encourage you to reflect on your weakness in this area and better it. I don’t want myself nor you to miss out on this beautiful life He has blessed us with.

Despite circumstances or struggles every person faces, I’m striving to live out each moment as best as I can and I hope you’ll join me!

I hope these questions will challenge and inspire you to live the moment.

Life is too short to simply let it fly by, enjoy every moment as best as you can.

He graciously fills our breath with lungs and gives us a new fresh start every morning, don’t take that for granted!

Love and blessings,

Moriah grace

Hey, friends! I’m so happy you’re here!

I’ve been thinking about this months journal challenge and I just can’t seem to get the word courage out of my mind. I even recently wrote a blog post on my thoughts about courage and now I want to see yours or at least want you to think about it yourself. 😉

This months theme is

Living with Courage

I asked five questions regarding this months challenge. My desire is to reflect on the meaning of courage and see how we can apply it to our own lives. It’s all around a challenge for personal growth and I’m so excited for you all to join me!

I hope you’ll be able to take a moment throughout five days in this month to simply reflect on your own personal growth and see how you can better the lives of your family and friends by living courageously!

If you have Instagram feel free to post your journal pages or answers to the questions and hashtag #quintessentiallylivingjournalprompt, Y’alls thoughts and answers to the questions have never failed to inspire me! I absolutely love to see them!

Stay inspired & amazing, my friends!!

Sending love to you,

Moriah grace

Hi, there! I’m so excited to share this month’s journal prompt challenge with you- it’s one that I think, unfortunately, many struggle with.

“Finding Peace in the Midst of Chaos.”

I know, life gets crazy. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and it’s easy to lose faith, but I want to answer these questions with you over the next couple of days. I want our hope to be restored. I want us to live by faith. I want us to live in peace. I want us to be encouraged, so lets think and reflect on these questions.

Let the verses I’m sharing along with them sink into your heart, and pray over how you can find hope and peace when all you can see is chaos.

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Philippians 4:7 (KJV)

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee: yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

I’m excited to see what gives you peace in the midst of life’s chaos! If you post on Instagram, hashtag #quintessentiallylivingjournalprompt so I can see your journal pages and answers too!

“Peace is not the absence of storms. Peace is the presence of God.”

I saw this quote on Pinterest and thought “wow, that goes perfectly with this months theme!” I hope that even though storms are a part of life, that you’ll still be able to discover peace from the presence of God in the midst of life’s chaos.

Love and prayers,

Moriah grace

Hi sweet friends!

I’m so thrilled about this month’s journal challenge. The topic is “Discovering Joy in Jesus” and for the longest time I really struggled in that area of my life, some days I still do.

I don’t know about you, but some days it’s so stinking hard for me to intentionally choose joy! I created this journal prompt because I think as Christians it’s so important to have a joyful spirit. Again, I don’t know about you, but God blesses me far more than I deserve and that’s just one reason to be joyful. There’s also many Bible verses that lead back to joy and finding it in the presence of Jesus!

Wanna join me in this journey to discover joy in Jesus? The journal prompt questions are below!

I also want to share a few bible verses that talk about joy. There are multiple verses so it was kind of difficult to only pick a few, but since I found so many it made me realize how important being joyful must actually be!

John 15:11

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Psalms 16:11

Thou wilt show me the path of life: in the presence of fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I hope you enjoy this month’s journal prompt. I encourage you to find joy in the ultimate Joy-giver! I’ll be praying for you as we do this challenge, because I know some days it’s truly difficult to choose joy.

Also, if you post it on Instagram and hashtag #quintessentiallylivingjournalprompt I’ll feature your journal page on my story!

love and blessings to you,

Hi friends!

I just can’t believe 2018 is almost here, it’s crazy. What an absolutely incredible year 2017 has been, filled with so many amazing adventures. I’m thankful beyond words for all the wonderful people God allowed me to meet this year and the opportunities to see so many astounding places.

But I’m not here to ponder and reminsce on this year, so to get to the point..I created a five day journal prompt with questions of self-reflection for the new year. I’m beyond excited to begin it and I would love for you to join along!

These questions are meant to have thought put into them, so you can have some goals for this next year and find out a little more about yourself!

I think it’s so important to create realistic goals while having a purpose and plan to reach those goals, of course God’s plans are far greater and we should be willing to change our plans for His, but it’s still great to have a vision. If not how would we ever accomplish anything?

Here are the five questions.

I’m putting them up today, so that you’ll have a few days to think on them or if you want to even get started today, that’s just as great!

I hope these questions will help and prepare you just a little for 2018. It’s so exciting to imagine what God holds for us in this New Year and how He plans to use us, let’s give Him our absolute best.

love and blessings,

Hi friends! I’m doing a journal challenge, just for you!
It’s only a week long one and if it turns out to be a hit, I might do a month long one, who knows!

I’ll have some pictures below to give you some ideas on how I did it, but I want to encourage you to get creative in your own way and be you!

For my writer/journal friends or anyone who is interested, I wrote down seven questions for each day of the week. The questions are going to be based around thankfulness and gratitude, I hope this is can be a way for you to get a little creative and to focus on the things your thankful for this month!

  1. Who in your life are you thankful for?
  2. What season are you thankful for?
  3. What’s one small thing you’re thankfuL for?
  4. What place are you most thankful for?
  5. What book are you thankful for?
  6. What in nature are you thankful for?
  7. What holiday are you thankful for?

I’m going to give you all an example with pictures of what I did for the first one, just to give you all a few ideas!

Question: Who in your life are you thankful for?

Answer: my family.  I know, it’s more than one person, but really I couldn’t just pick one!

A few thing you might want or need.

  • washi tape
  • glue stick
  • pen
  • notebook
  • scissors

Instead of simply writing “my family” down for the answer, I wanted to get a little more creative and explain in a deeper way why I am thankful for them. So, to do that I printed out some family pictures, cut them out, and glued them to the paper. I decorated it with doodles, washi tape, and made a list of why I’m thankful for each of them. Doing this creates and shows a deeper meaning of thankfulness.

I had so much fun doing this and I really hope you’ll take the time to be creative and focus on the things your thankful for this week! If you’ve never done journaling, its okay, I’m new too, let’s learn together! Also, if you do it post a picture on Instagram and hashtag it with #quintessentiallylivingjournalprompt I would absolutely love to see your work. Have a good week!

sending love to you all,
